Being a busy office worker or a businessman, your life would never have been offering an extra hour to sit back in a cozy chair and do nothing for a while. You keep on working like a laborer all day long. Human body works like a machine which gets stuck when it bears over loading; therefore, you have to give it some rest to keep it in a good working condition. Here are some practical, free of cost tips you may use for that purpose.

1. Returning home, the first step you should take towards relaxation is to get rid of your working clothes and shoes instantly as they keep your mind in stress. Wash your hands and face with fresh water and wear something comfortable of your choice. You will feel your body quite relaxed and calm.
2. Switch your mobile off and take a short nap placing your feet up for twenty to thirty minutes. It is surprisingly relaxing and refreshing exercise to revitalize your exhausted body.
3. Make a hot cup of coffee or tea for yourself. Take some snacks or cookies with it. Your taste buds help boosting up your body to a great extent. You can also take some fruit juices or a plate of fresh veggies if you like to.
4. A five-minute massage to your body can be the life saver. It actually would do a lot to re-energize your weary body. Human touch has a great power to calm down your nerves as well. It reduces the stress of your mood and makes you quite active for completing the tasks lying ahead.
5. The scents and fragrances of your choice can dramatically change your mood. You can try using lemon, lavender or chamomile aroma to your bath tub. Aromatic candles are also effective to be added to your surrounding for a pleasant atmosphere.
6. Nature helps a lot to cheer you up when you feel like trapped by your workload. Spend some time with green plants and fresh air. Colorful flowers, grassy plots and other fascinating scenarios of nature can calm you down right away.
7. Listen to some soft, melodious and sweet music to relax your tired mind and body. Music functions through hearing so it directly affects your brain. Fast and loud tones are not recommended for that purpose as they may cause headache.
8. Coming back from office is your down time so avoid receiving any phone calls, fax, and text messages or emails because they possibly contain some disturbing news. Switch to entertainment channels only if you want to watch T.V.
9. A thirty minute walk routine can be quite healthy for your body after sitting in the office chair all day long. Get moving by walk, playing basket ball or swimming at a spa. It helps your blood flowing smoothly in your arteries and makes your heart healthy.
10. Eat something nutritious and make sure of drinking plenty of water. Avoid junk food or having anything full of fats. Vegetables, fruits and juices can be the best energy sources after coming back from exhausting job.
